December 22, 2009-Genserve receives PCI-DSS re-certification
Genserve is pleased to announce that it has received its PCI-Data Security Standards certification based on guidelines established by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. Genserve completed its certification as a level 1 vendor, the category reserved for the largest worldwide merchants or data storage entities. To receive the level 1 certification, Genserve had to complete a rigorous on-site review by a PCI certified auditor of its business practices, technologies, security processes and disaster recovery procedures along with a systems perimeter scan. The PCI Security Standards Council is an open global forum, launched in 2006, that is responsible for the development, management, education, and awareness of the PCI Security Standards, including: the Data Security Standard (DSS), Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), and Pin-Entry Device (PED) Requirements. The PCI Security Standards Council was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. “The attainment of our PCI DSS represents the culmination of Genserve’s pro-active approach to maintaining industry best practices for the protection and management of secure payment data”, said William Taylor, President of Genserve. “We are pleased to receive this certification and will ensure it is maintained on an ongoing basis.” Genserve is a leading provider of data transformation, consolidation and information migration services.
